Ten Reasons to Join the Elizabethans
- You love to sing
- You love variety
- You want to take the music seriously but have loads of fun at the same time
- You like choir music, but you'd welcome a chance to sing it in a more intimate setting
- You're looking for more than background vocals
- You'd go for putting a giant donut or muffin on top of your head
- You may or may not want a giant donut/muffin on the top of your head, but at any rate, you like wearing pretty costumes every once in a while
- You think a sheep would make an awesome mascot
- You haven't yet made plans for the first week of spring break
- You have made plans for the first week of spring break, but driving around the Northeast and singing would totally take priority
The Audition

Auditions consist of the following:
- Scale patterns, up and down your range- to warm you up and determine your approximate range
- Tonal memory- a short pattern of notes is played on the piano, and you repeat them on a neutral syllable
- Song- anything you feel like singing, from "Happy Birthday" to an aria to a pop song to a folk song
- Optional Sightsinging- it can help you, but it's perfectly acceptable to skip it
